Cowboys defense powers Dallas to MNF win over Chargers

 The Dallas Cowboys defense was on full display on Monday Night Football, as they dominated the Los Angeles Chargers in a 27-10 victory. The Cowboys held the Chargers to just 251 total yards and forced three turnovers, including two interceptions and a fumble

The Cowboys defense got off to a fast start, forcing Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert into an interception on the opening drive. The Cowboys then turned that turnover into a touchdown, as running back Ezekiel Elliott capped off a 10-play, 75-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown run.

The Cowboys defense continued to dominate in the second quarter, holding the Chargers to just three points. The Cowboys also forced a fumble in the second quarter, which was recovered by linebacker Micah Parsons. The Cowboys then turned that turnover into a field goal, as kicker Brett Maher hit a 43-yarder to give the Cowboys a 17-3 lead at halftime.

The Cowboys defense continued to be a force in the second half, holding the Chargers to just seven points. The Cowboys also forced another interception in the second half, which was picked off by cornerback Trevon Diggs. The Cowboys then turned that turnover into a touchdown, as quarterback Dak Prescott capped off a 7-play, 55-yard drive with a 4-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

The Cowboys offense also played well in the victory, as Prescott threw for 238 yards and two touchdowns. Elliott also had a strong game, rushing for 102 yards and a touchdown. Lamb was the Cowboys' leading receiver, with six catches for 98 yards and a touchdown.

The Cowboys' victory over the Chargers was their third in a row. The Cowboys are now 5-2 on the season and are in first place in the NFC East. The Cowboys will look to continue their winning streak next week when they host the Philadelphia Eagles.
